Questions first by
1)What inspired you to take up art?
I don't know what sparked my interest. I always loved it for as long as I can remember. I guess I am one of those lucky ones that just always knew what they wanted to do
2)Would you like to do your work professionally?
Yep! And I do
3)Would you rather work for a major studio, or independently?
I have had the chance to do both, and love both in different ways. I know do my own thing, but have in the past worked for Disney, and Microsoft. My dream job is to own my own production company, and make my own films with the art friends that I have met from here, there, and everywhere, so I guess Pixar is up there, but Independently is the ultimate goal!
4)What time of the day does working on your art come most easily to you?
Late afternoon I tend to hit my stride. It's always after a warm up or two, and definitely after a cup or two of coffee
5)How do you feel when you look at artwork that you produced 5 years ago?
Most I want to shred, but there are from time to time a character or a piece that I put in the "When I get time, I will re-image this guy" section.
6)If you could have worked on a studio project from the past (movie/show.graphic novel, etc.) what would it be.
Awww man, I have to name a few! Roger Rabbit looked like a blast to work on, The Lion King, Toy Story, Nemo, Monsters INC., Secret of Nimh. There are so many. When ever I watch an animated film I always try and see the true passion behind it, and I feel you can tell the difference in a movie when it's there and when it's not. I want to work on films that had/have the passion!
7)What is your favorite medium to work in?
Col Erase Pencil on paper
8)Which piece of your artwork is your favorite?
These were the first three to come to mind: , ,
9)How often do you practice drawing?
I like to say I draw everyday, but that's not entirely true, I tend to take a few days off here and there to refocus, and relax, but at least 5 days a week.
10)What was the most recent thing that truly inspired you, impressed you and overall blew you away in a creative/artistic sense?
Pixar's Brave
Now for questions:
1)When did you first think to yourself that you wanted to pursue a future in art?
My answer for this is pretty much the same as the answer to number one in the first questions
2)Of the past 10 years, can you think of a movie/show/comic/etc. that really inspired you?
This is kinda the same as #6 above, but I didn't really get into anything but movies in that post, and missed a few. Here are a few: LOTR Trilogy, Game of Thrones, Almost everything from Pixar, annnnd um... The West Wing
3)Based on your answer from question 2, what did you enjoy specifically about that medium?
I think I named to many haha, but I'll answer for LOTR. This was one of the most inspiration trilogy's to me bringing life stories I have heard and some I have read to life. It inspired me so much in to many ways, but what it really did was make me write more then just draw. I wanted so bad to create a world as awesome as middle earth. The movies are awesome!
4)Woud you rather work in traditional media (pencils, clay, etc) or digital tools?
Traditional for sure!
5)Ok, you've just been offered a wild card job at any studio of your choosing. Where do you go and what position do you take?
I think it would be Pixar, and character designer. I would rather direct, but if it was my first gig there and didn't know the movie, I would choose character designs first
6)How often do you practice your skills?
Almost daily, I do take some days off!
7)Name an artist that has had a big impact on your life.
Sean"Cheeks"Galloway fam! The boy is a great friend, helped me to be where I am today, and is just all around super inspiration, and one hell of a nice guy!
8)Are there any films/shows/artists out there that you truly dislike?
I really don't like the Catwoman movie
9)What made you dislike that certain thing from question 8?
I love Hallie Berry, but in this movie I think I have to straight up say EVERYTHING!
10)Where do you hope to be in the next 5 years?
Rich from the Lotto, but realistic, either working on my own comic line at Marvel, Directing some sort of movies, or just making my money traveling the cons

Please Read If You Have Wondered Where I Have Been
Hey everyone,
My life has been such a crazy roller coaster ride for the past year in a half. I just wanted to apologize for not being on DA as often anymore. I promise to get to all the comments and things as soon as I can. It seems not as many people are on DA anymore. Probably because of how easy it is to post on other things like IG, and Facebook, but I want to continue to show my work here, and give back to a community that has given me a ton.
My life and my family’s lives were hit by a major hurdle Oct. 2014 when my father was diagnosed with brain cancer. He has a tumor called a Glioblastoma, which is a grade 4 tumor. This type
Sorry for My Absence

Seattle Sketchbomb Friday 27th 8pm
How's everyone!
This Month's SketchBomb will be held, Friday, Mar. 27th, 8pm. Seattle Sketchbomb will be at a new location! The Hurricane Cafe was a great place for us, but it has since closed down, trying to keep to the rules of Sketchbomb, and keep it close to the convention center we are going to have our Sketchbomb at the Starbucks on Olive Way. This Starbucks had beer, and wine as well as the regular items on the menu. The exact location is at 1600 E Olive Way, Seattle, WA 98102. We have our own area reserbed in the back, and the reservation is under "Josh Frost". Being this is the ECCC month I am hoping for a good turn out. SketchBom
